The Great Ocean Road

For Easter weekend Tyler decided to organise a trip to The Great Ocean Road, which is a road that runs from Torquay to Nullawarre.

(click here to see the road on Google Maps)

We set off early morning on Friday the 26th at around 9:30, due to everyone having a little lie in. We then went straight to the hire car company to pick up our ride for the weekend and then onto meat up with Veronica (One of Christine’s friends)

It took around an hour to get to The Great Ocean road itself. Unfortunately it was overcast but still warm, we had fun wondering around on a few beaches and by waterfalls.

The views from the windy roads where amazing and it was definitely the best road I have ever been on. I would love to take an SL Mercedes on that road one day… roof down, sun shinning, music playing and amazing views!

We arrived at out hostel which was situated towards the start of the great ocean road (Apollo Bay) early evening we then had some dinner and got our drink on.

On our second day we left Apollo Bay around mid-day due to a little heavy drinking the night before. Our first stop was a forest which we wondered around looking at hugh trees and any wildlife we could find (due to shouting children we didn’t see a lot)
It was then onto a couple of beaches before reaching the twelve apostles which where an amazing sight.

With out trip complete it was back to the hostel for our last night and some more… drinking!
On our way back to the City we stopped off at Lorne which has an amazing beach and some radical waves.

We all had an amazing trip and I don’t think that it will be the last time I visit The Great Ocean Road.
